Westin A. Price

I have been waiting several weeks to attend a lecture on Westin A. Price and Nourishing Our Children. It was given by two women that I met via the internet a few months back. Both are passionate about the practices of Dr. Price, raw dairy, and whole foods. Here is what I learned today:

Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and Butter the best things to use when baking and sauteing.
Pasture fed meats provide the nutrients we need and all others, even organic, aren't nourishing if they are confined to a barn.
Grains should be soaked prior to use (baking or cooking).
All boxed cereal is BAD because of the process by which the whole grain is turned into a flake, "o", or twig.
Cod Liver Oil is a super food.
Raw dairy is safe, especially when the you can meet the cows, the farmer, and when you know the farmer feeds it to his own family of eight.

I also learned that we should start small and do what we feel is comfortable to incorporated some of these practices into our diets. Do any of you already practice some of these ways? We do, but not all of them. Pasture fed meats and raw milk is next on our list.
