I am a Taiwanese American mom who founded Asianmommy.com with my tech-savvy husband in March 2008. After frequenting several mainstream parenting sites and message boards over the years, I decided that it would be fun to create one for Asian American moms and others who are interested in Asian culture. We focus on smart ideas for parents in the Asian American community. We discuss Asian language schools, Asian restaurants, Asian grocery stores, Asian movies, Asian writers, and Asian books & DVDs for kids. We also present very basic Mandarin characters for those who are interested in learning Chinese. We profile moms to describe what they do day-to-day to bring happiness and meaning to their lives. In addition, we cover mainstream parenting books, parenting topics, and other general topics of interest. Our main purpose is to share ideas and to connect with others in the Asian American community and beyond. Join Us!
