A Conversation of a Happy Meal

Driving home after a playdate, kiddo knows the location of his favorite fast food restaurant is up the road.

Kiddo: Mama, can we go to McDonald's?

Mama: No, not tonight.

Kiddo: {whining} But I want chicken nuggets wif da sauce...and a chocolate milk jug.

Mama: No, sweetie. We went there the other day.

Kiddo: {sniffling, trying to create tears} But I really, really want dem.

Mama: Not tonight, buddy. You're having grilled cheese.

Kiddo: Nooooooooo! I want McDonald's NOW!!!

Mama: I'm sorry, but no.

Kiddo: {fake crying} But I thought you were supposed to make me happy.

*Yeah, I know that's sweet, but I didn't fall for it.
