These are no ordinary action figures!

Ok, I'm sorry I can't quite call Funkey's action figures actually they are much more like the cool vinyl art dolls that I have loved since I first saw a gallery showing of them back when I was cool. heh. Ok that sounds wrong, it wasn't actually an art gallery showing of Funkeys but I've always been a fan of alternative art and Funkeys do remind me of the vinyl art figures that are popular collectibles. Though I'm not totally sure if thats a mistake or on purpose Funkeys are as cool to look as they actually are.
So you have this really cool piece really artsy looking guy sitting on your desk, hooked up to a USB port on your computer. Not that you can really even tell, for the most part it just looks he is sitting there to keep you company or for decoration. What isn't obvious is the fact that the Funkey that hooks directly to your computer is sort of the hub of sorts for the other Funkeys. The premise of Funkeys is pretty simple. You have the one big master hub Funkey that hooks into your computer and allows you to access Funkey World where you can buy cool stuff for your Funkey house, play games, earn coins, ect. For each Funkey you own you earn the right to play new games, access new programs, and of course get more coins! The more you have the cooler you are and regardless if you actually play the games or not dare I say they are just cool to look at!
Each new series of Funkeys brings a whole new look to the little squat little "keys" and a new cool looking hub. Not to mention the fact that every Funkey has his own secret to unlock in Funkey World. Its kind of addictive and they are way cooler to collect than trading cards. I was really concerned that they would be expensive but you'd be suprised to know that each Funkey addition costs on adverage under $20 depending on the collection. Considering that an adverage video game costs sometimes twice that these days!
The Funkeys Dream State starter kit actually has two of my favorite Funkeys yet. The Funkeys Dream State Hub included is really cool looking being all white with a purple swirl pattern on its stomach as well his "keys" include a skeleton looking key and a striped speed racer looking key. Both unlock their own unique features in the game and you can buy expansion pieces in singles or as groups. I like looking at them as much as I like playing with them.
Go check out UB Funkeys World and head on over to see the current available Funkeys. You can pick up your own Funkeys Dream State starter pack over on Amazon!
I'd really like to start someone's Funkey's collection so I have the brand new Funkeys Chat Pack available to give away to one Funkey reader! (lol ok thats a terrible pun...) The Funkeys Chat Pack comes with one special chat key and another Funkey to enjoy. I promise you wont know what to do first look at them or play with them online!
