Another great tool to add while you are getting your family center organized, a key holder. Mine is a basic holder with four hooks. I have placed mine not at the family center, but right at my door where I enter my house from the garage. As soon as I walk in the keys go over a hook. I never forget anymore because it is right in my view.
Mine does not include the mail holder, but this will give you an idea of what you can use. This particular mail & key rack is an inexpensive item found at Stack & Stacks for around $10.00.
This might only be two items to add to your family center, but these two items will condense a lot of miscellaneous items into one central location, leaving you both organized and with more space.
