I have heard 19 days to a new habit, and also 21 days to a new habit, but never 30 days. I have to say though, 30 is a good number...so long as a month doesn't discourge you from trying in the first place! Way to go *trying* for new habits, so many complacent people out there don't even try anymore, and as I get older, I can see how hard it truly is to teach this "old dog" (of 35, hehe) new tricks.
