Bright Pink Supports The Fight Against Breast Cancer

Bright Pink has teamed up with Orbit White again this year to spread the word about breast cancer and ovarian cancer awareness.
During September and October, ten percent of the sales generated by the purchase of Bubblemint flavored Orbit White gum will be donated to support Bright Pink’s mission to help women proactively take control of their health via education, support and community development for those at risk.
The unique on-pack promotion is designed to help fund Bright Pink’s awareness programs and will be available on a limited-edition 60-count Big-E-Pak® dressed in Bright Pink graphics and featuring www.bebrightpink.org.
You can sign up here to recieve Underwire Alerts once a month to remind you to feel your boobies. Monitoring your breasts on a routine basis is the best way to detect any changes that may arise throughout your lifetime.
Another great feature at Bright Pink is PinkPal. PinkPal™ is a one-on-one supportive resource for young women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Each “Participant” is paired with a “PinkPal™” who provides the individual with positive support and encouragement. Specifically, this relationship affords the opportunity for Participants to obtain guidance and support from PinkPals™ who are uniquely familiar with their situation and are currently doing well. For instance, someone who is considering genetic testing may wish to speak with someone who has already been through the process.
The nature of each relationship is completely up to the discretion of each one-on-one pair. Participants and PinkPals™ may communicate by phone, email, or if possible they may meet in-person. Each pair has the freedom to determine the depth and extent of their relationship.
The PinkPal™ program is 100% free of charge. Participation is not limited to specific geographic locations. Bright Pink does not turn anyone away, and will accommodate the needs of each individual to the best of our ability.
You can sign up to be a participant here. I'm seriously thinking of joining. My mother's mother had ovarian cancer and many women in our family have had cancer, including breast cancer.
If you have suffered from breast/ovarian cancer, or have met the following criteria, I urge to sign up to be a PinkPal to mentor someone who is or may be going down the same path as you. We all need support, and the best advice is from someone who has already experienced it.
